MANKATO – The Mankato teen accused of setting his parents home on fire last June is being asked by law enforcement to pay for the cost to investigate a series of arson fires.
Matthew Kotthoff, who was 17 at the time of the fire, made statements to investigators that led them to investigate his ex-girlfriend.
The bizarre case started with a June 17th fire set in a window well, a July 7th vandalism of vehicles in his parent’s garage and then a July 9th fire that caused over $100,000 in damage.
