Latest Information On The Winter Storm

MANKATO -- We''ll update this story with information regarding this weekend's winter storm.

5:38p -- City of Mankato announces a Snow Emergency, effective at midnight and will expire at noon Monday.

5:37p -- Gustavs announed a weather delay for Monday. Chapel opens at 9:30a, First period classes will start at 10a, and all classes the remainder of the day will be 40 minues long instead of 50 minutes long.

5:36p -- Sleepy Eye is the first school to close for Monday.

3:31p -- From MnDOT Twitter: "MN/DOT advises no travel in south central and southwestern Minnesota. Heavy snow and high winds are causing difficult driving conditions.

3:28p -- Here are the latest snowfall totals from the National Weather Service: New Ulm 8.3 inches, North Mankato inches, Mankato 6 inches, Madelia 6 inches, St. James 5.8 inches and Mapleton 5 inches.

3:14p -- The city of St. Peter has declared a Snow Emergency effective at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Snow emergency rules.
