MANKATO – Barring a major rain event, Blue Earth County Chief Deputy Mike Mauer believes the flood threat for the county is over.
Mauer also serves at the county’s emergency manager and gave county commissioners a flood update Tuesday morning.
Mauer says the county gave out 16,000 sandbags this spring, leaving another 20,000 in reserve.
Mauer says the county is beginning to prepare for tornado season, noting that Tuesday was the 13 year anniversary of the St. Peter tornado.
