Traffic Accident In Mankato Leads To Charges Against Driver

MANKATO – A traffic accident Sunday in Mankato has resulted in several charges being filed against a 19-year-old Albert Lea man.

Jordan Tuttle faces a felony count of terroristic threats and lesser charges of DWI, criminal vehicular operation and fleeing police.

Mankato police were responding to a report of a reckless driver on Stadium Road and then received news the vehicle had crashed. A woman who witnesses saw flee the vehicle was found by officers and identified Tuttle as the driver.

Police later found Tuttle while searching the South Haven Trailer Park. Tuttle fled on foot and was tackled by police.

He failed a sobriety test and blew a .226.

At the hospital for a blood draw, police claim Tuttle told them he was “drunk” and “smoked a lot of weed.”
