MANKATO -- Sunday's scheduled Minnesota State home softball game with Winona State will help raise money and awarness for cancer.The event is called Strikout Cancer.
Prior to the first game of the double header at 1 p.m., two former Maverick softball players who are cancer survivors, Nancy Kelly and Jean Engalls will through out the first pitch.
Both teams will wear special pink jersey for the game that will be auctioned off following the game. During the game a pink glove will be passed through the crowd for donations after every strikeout.
