MANKATO -- A forward from Champlin Park has singed a tender to play next season at Minnesota State University, Mankato.TJ Okafor is a 6-7, 190-pound forward who averaged 16.2 point per game and 9.5 rebounds per gam for Champlin Park.
He was named to the Minnesota All-Star Series.
He scored a career-high 35 points last year against Elk River and was named to the Minnesota All-Star Series.
"TJ is a very gifted athlete that plays inside and out," said Margenthaler. "He is such a versatile player that will allow him to really grow in our motion system. I really believe TJ will have the ability to step right in and be a solid contributor."
Okafor's third cousin is Emeka Okafor of the New Orleans Hornets. His brother, also named Emeka, is at Western Illinois.
