OPRAH: Home Affected by Deadly Mudslides

Oprah Winfrey‘s home in Montecito, California is one of many homes affected by the deadly mudslides ravaging Southern California, which have left at least 13 people dead.

The area is home to many celebrities, including Ellen DeGeneres and Rob Lowe. Last night, Oprah shared a few videos on Instagram showing some of the devastation around her neighborhood. In one video, she walks through knee-deep mud in her backyard, which is littered with debris. She shared another clip showing a gas fire that had destroyed an adjacent house and wrote, “The house in back is gone.”

Torrential rains have triggered the mudslides and floods on mountainsides, which were burned by wildfires last month.
