Maybe Money CAN Buy You Happiness After All

Our whole lives we’ve heard things like “money can’t buy you happiness” or “more money, more problems,” but it’s hard to sell those ideas to people who have no money. Now, according to a new study conducted by a team of researchers including Nobel Prize-winning economist Daniel Kahneman, money actually can buy you happiness — up to a point. That point, according to them, is $500,000 a year. It contradicts a previous study from 2010, which found that money can boost happiness levels up to $75,000 a year.
