Minnesota Judge Orders MyPillow to Pay $778,000 in Dispute with DHL
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — MyPillow has been ordered to pay nearly $778,000 to DHL for unpaid bills and related costs, following a lawsuit by the package delivery service. The Minnesota-based company, closely tied to its founder and spokesperson Mike Lindell, has faced mounting legal and financial challenges.
The judgment, issued by Hennepin County Judge Susan Burke, includes over $48,000 in interest and more than $4,800 in attorney fees for DHL. MyPillow had previously agreed to pay $550,000 in October but failed to follow through. The company also did not appear at a recent hearing regarding DHL’s collection efforts.
DHL filed the lawsuit in September, citing unpaid invoices. This case is one of several controversies involving MyPillow and Lindell, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump. Lindell has repeatedly promoted unproven claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged.
Lindell responded to the lawsuit by stating that MyPillow had ceased working with DHL over a year earlier due to disputes about shipment issues, which he attributed to DHL.
In addition to the DHL case, Lindell and MyPillow are also facing defamation lawsuits from voting technology companies Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic over allegations linked to election misinformation.
