Slayton man, Madison Lake woman injured in car vs. semi crash

(Mankato, MN) – Two people were injured in a crash Thursday morning just before 8 a.m. in Blue Earth County.

The crash report says the semi and the GMC crashed at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 60.

The semi, driven by Shawn Skyler Padilla, 27, of Slayton, was eastbound on Highway 14 at the time of the crash, according to the patrol.

The GMC was westbound on Highway 14 when the vehicles collided.  The driver was 15-year-old Sophie Fuen Dauk of Madison Lake.

Padilla and Dauk’s passenger, Kristen Leigh Dauk, 51, of Madison Lake, were both transported to Mayo Clinic Mankato with non-life threatening injuries.
