Starbucks Eliminating Cups?

Starbucks has announced a goal to eliminate disposable cups by 2025.  They are testing several solutions . . . but their favorite one at the moment involves people “borrowing” reusable cups and later bringing them back.  Would that really work?  Would anyone actually return the cups?
