The official NWS station in Redwood Falls measured 1.6 inches of rain, while a viewer several miles west of Redwood reported 2.6 inches in his rain gauge.

Tornado warnings were also issued for Brown and Watonwan counties. A tornado was reported near Godahl about an hour later.  Damaging storms also moved through the St. James area.

In related news, on Thursday evening the National Weather Service sent out a flash flood warning for people living near small streams in Redwood and Brown Counties. According to the NHS, another one to two inches of rain are still possible in those areas for the next 24 hours.
