The U.S. Air Force is generally an unstoppable foe — unless you’re an alligator.

A giant gator found its way onto the runway at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida yesterday (Tuesday), plopping itself down near the landing gear of a plane. As a result, a ground stop was ordered as local wildlife officials wrangled the beast and re-located it in a nearby river.

On first glance, the gator doesn’t look too big next to the plane’s tires. But as you see officials try to corral it, you see that it’s a pretty massive reptile. But what’s scarier is that officials believe it wound up at MacDill because it was forced out of its home by an even bigger gator.
