Vehicle leaves scene in Blue Earth County crash that critically injures young woman
(Mankato, MN) – A young woman was seriously injured in a crash west of Lake Crystal, and a second vehicle involved has not been located.
At 6:41 p.m. Monday, a Chevy Blazer and a Ford SUV were both eastbound on Highway 60 when the Ford cut off the Chevy, causing it to enter the ditch and roll. The state patrol says the two vehicles may have collided.
The Blazer driver’s name has not yet been released. A passenger in the Chevy, 20-year-old Jalynn Rose Williams of Mankato was transported to St. Mary’s Rochester with life-threatening injuries. The state patrol’s crash report says Williams wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Ford SUV went into the median, then back onto Highway 60 eastbound. The vehicle has not since been located, according to the state patrol.
