Raise A Glass–Without The Booze

The latest trend in weddings is to toast the happy couple — without alcohol. Dry weddings are increasingly popular these days, especially among Zoomers who are tying the knot. On TikTok, the hashtag #DryWedding has amassed over 2.7 million views. The bridal blog the Budget Savvy Bride recently reported that boozeless bashes are taking off, for reasons ranging from couples not wanting dudes to get drunk and hit on bridesmaids to the cost — liquor can add $2,500 to the cost of a reception.

Dry wedding bride Kathlyn Bohatch tells the New York Post “Alcohol is expensive and pointless. I wasn’t gonna pay for people to get drunk and act crazy at my wedding.”
